After warning the United Nations the Trump Administration would remember who voted for last week’s anti-Israel resolution, U.S. ambassador Nikki Haley announced a $285 million cut from the UN’s operating budget. Haley emphasized bureaucratic waste, but her timing sends an unmistakable signal, too.

Haley’s statement revealed, in no uncertain terms, that the administration would remember who supported the extreme measure and that America’s continued financial support for the UN was not guaranteed.
