Via Trump Train News:

President Trump is prefacing next week’s debate showdown with Joe Biden by framing Fox News’ Chris Wallace as an unfair moderator.

On Brian Kilmeade’s radio show Trump said Chris Wallace loves him because he brings ratings to his interviews but that Wallace won’t ask Biden any tough questions during next week’s debate.

The response was prompted by Kilmeade asking Trump what role Chris Wallace will serve in as the debate moderator.

Trump also said, “he’ll ask me tough questions and it’ll be unfair, I have no doubt about it.”

“He’ll be controlled by the radical left, they control him,” he continued.

Some of the debate topics that were announced are “The Economy”, “Covid-19”, “Race and Violence in Our Cities”, “Election Integrity” and the respective governing records of Trump and Biden.

If history is any indication, fireworks are expected not only between Trump and Biden, but also Trump and Chris Wallace.

Trump has a contentious history with Wallace, which includes calling him out by name on Twitter on multiple occasions.

In April, Trump said, “[j]ust watched Mike Wallace wannabe, Chris Wallace, on [Fox News]. I am now convinced that he is even worse than Sleepy Eyes Chuck Todd of Meet the Press (please!), or the people over at Deface the Nation. What the hell is happening to [Fox News]. It’s a whole new ball game over there!”

He also said that Wallace should be on “on Fake News CNN or MSDNC.”

Some of Wallace’s colleagues came to his defense.

Britt Hume defended Wallace after a reporter said “not a single soul at Fox” would defend him. Hume fired back, “I will. He’s the best Sunday show host of his time, and perhaps of all time.”

The first debate between Trump and Biden will take place on Tuesday, September 29th at 9 PM Eastern in Cleveland, OH. All of the major networks –ABC, CBS, FOX, NBC, CNN, Fox News, MSNBC, and C-SPAN– will air the debate. Additionally, it will be live-streamed on YouTube.
