“Saturday Night Live” debuted almost 7 months to the day after I was born. The show came within a hair of cancellation when I was 6(I found out the Saturday morning(or late Friday night) music program “The Midnight Special” got canned to save SNL; I(born in 1975) think NBC made a HUGE mistake by letting a hit-and-miss show survive at the expense of a show that never should have been off the air in the first place. True, SNL once was good, but it’s its been rotten for at least 20 years.
