The poll found that 63% of parents are at least somewhat concerned about gun violence happening in their child’s school, and 61% are concerned about it happening in their community. Additionally, 68% of parents believe that gun violence is a “very serious” problem in the United States. The poll also found that there is a divide between Democrats and Republicans on the issue, with Democrats being more likely to support stricter gun laws and Republicans being more likely to oppose them.
