A new report is indicating that documents related to the investigation into the Jussie Smollett fiasco will soon be released.
According to Page Six:
Chicago police are set to release a trove of documents Thursday related to Jussie Smollett’s alleged hoax hate crime.
The data dump will include investigative files and reports, along with notes from detectives, a CBS Chicago reporter tweeted.
It’s unclear if all or just some of the 600-plus pages will be released.
Last week, a judge ordered the unsealing of Smollett’s criminal file, saying the “Empire” actor hadn’t “shown good cause to rebut the public presumption of access.”
Charges were dropped after Smollett was accused of staging a hoax attack in order to gain publicity among other goals.
