I live in Los Angeles and can attest to this; if Newsom looks like a sitting duck NOW(news of his shennanigans rear their head every day, and I’m finally at a point where I am convinced Newsom will not only LOSE, he’ll be LUCKY if he gets 45% of the vote), he’ll be a laughingstock at the voting booth if he runs for president, or is the running mate of who does get the Democratic nod.
