Incensed liberals, whose bias is fueled by their tendency to follow news and social media feeds they agree with, were quick to condemn Catholic high school students as monstrous bigots.

The condemnation came after watching a video depicting a brief segment of a 90-minute interaction an listening to one side of the story, that of a Native American elder, without taking the other into account.

Now, apologies – from some – are coming in. (The Daily Caller)

As details emerged, some individuals and outlets who had been quick to condemn the students retracted their words and even apologized.

National Review published a scathing piece by its deputy managing editor, Nicholas Frankovich.

Reason editor Robby Soave did his research and eventually called the story a “rush to judgment.”

Meghan McCain and CNN’s Jake Tapper seemed to agree:

The brother of a falsely accused Covington Catholic High School student at the center of the media-fueled scandal, says his family is still receiving threats and that their family business has received atrocious online reviews. Even worse – that student wasn’t there.

A liberal mob targeted him as his family prepared for a wedding and he’s preparing to volunteer at the Special Olympics.
