In a Hollywood minute Amanda discusses saving money and buying from China. While we are in a time of saving money and cutting back, we need to be mindful that many cheap items are coming from China and we need to cut that back as well. Conventions of States and Trafalgar Group recently conducted a poll regarding our purchasing power. In that they found that a vast majority, 78.7%, of Americans said they would be willing to stop buying Chinese manufactured projects in response to the CCP’s aggressive behavior and to lessen America’s dependance on the country. Americans are willing, so the issue is a matter of education and making effort in keeping from buying Chinese. Stay vigilant.

A great point, Ms. Amanda! We have tried to do this for some years now. Unfortunately, the Chinese manufacturing presence is so insidious and widespread that items with multiple components (autos, electronics, etc.) cannot be controlled. We must as a society find a way to escape such a Catch-22 situation.

Unless US firms move back home to Produce
Count me in. I am willing to pay more for products not made in China.

The effort to decouple from CCP has to be met with congressional incentives to manufacture here. I try to buy American or non CCP, but quite often there is no alternative. This is also a national security issue, especially in the pharmacy sector
