Lord of the Rings Actor John Rhys-Davies got into a heated exchange with a Brotish MP, Thursday, saying Mr. Trump not only represents the American people but is the “last best home for mankind if you ask me.”
The Express has more:
Speaking on whether Donald Trump’s visit to the UK, Mr Rhys-Davies put up a staunch defence of the President. The actor admitted that Trump was the “last great hope for mankind” and moreover that he “represents the American people”. Questioning Trump’s legitimacy, Ms Lucas insisted that Trump did not represent the American people which provoked a fiery response from the actor.
In response, Mr Rhys-Davies said: “Oh Woman have you ever read Kenneth Arrow?
“Arrows theorem states that any system of election has its problems.”
The Lord of the Rings actor’s response was due to Ms Lucas’ claim that Trump did not represent the American people but also that he lost the popular vote in 2016.
Rhys-Davies portrayed Gimli the dwarf in the Lord of the Rings.
