Nevada authorities took a man who had lived illegally in the United States for over a year into custody this weekend in connection to four “brutal” murders that had gripped residents in the Reno, Nevada metro area in fear.
A man who entered the United States illegally has been taken into custody while authorities investigate the possibility he’s linked to at least four murders.
Authorities in Nevada say Ernesto Martinez Guzman, either 19 or 20 years old, was being held in the Carson City Detention Center.
The arrest was announced by Washoe County Sheriff Darin Balaam.
Guzman is being held for suspicion of burglary, possession of stolen property and immigration law violations. He was arrested on Saturday.
If Martinez-Guzman’s guilt is proven in court, he’d become one of the youngest serial killers in American history.
