On Tuesday, House Democrats smacked down an effort to complete the U.S.-Mexico border wall begun during the Trump administration. The Finish The Wall Act would have required the Department of Homeland Security to resume border wall contracts entered into effect before Jan 20, 2021.
According to Townhall:
“This bill requires the secretary of Homeland Security to resume construction of the border wall within 24 hours of enactment using funds Congress has already appropriated to building the wall. The wall is more than just a fence,” Rep. Andrew Garbarino (R-NY) said in support of the bill. “It includes sensors and technology Border Patrol needs to effectively hold the line. The agents I spoke to at the border are doing everything they can to stop illegal crossings, but they are overwhelmed and under-equipped. Now drug smugglers, human traffickers, gangs, and terrorists are taking full advantage of this vulnerability.”
“We must protect our country, we must protect our people, we must finish the wall. This legislation would compel the White House and the Department of Homeland Security to do their jobs. The funding is there, the plans are there, the materials are there. All we lack is leadership from the Oval Office,” said Rep. Yvette Herrell (R-NM).
Ordering a halt on the construction of the new border wall system, started by former President Donald Trump, was one of the first acts done by Joe Biden when he became president. While some sectors along the U.S.-Mexico border had much of the construction done before the order, such as the El Paso Sector, others like the Rio Grande Valley Sector and Yuma Sector were not so lucky. As a result of the gaps, it has made it easier for people to illegally cross the southern border in large numbers, overwhelming Border Patrol.
In addition to gaps in the wall, other projects such as lights and sensors were also put on hold.

The Democrats are once again showing their stupidity by not allowing the bill that would complete the border wall! Why they are doing this is a mystery, as completing the border wall is a necessity!
It’s more than a little shocking that the dems would do something so ridiculous and totally stupid!

No big surprise that the Dems are fighting completing the border wall that kept the US And the American people safer and more secure. If anything is to the detriment of the US and the American people bit the socialist/communist Dems are for it. Millions of dollars were spent for the border wall material which has just been laying on the ground after Joe Biden took office because he and the Democrats want open borders once again jeopardizing the American people and the US and betraying us which is what they continually do. There has been an actual “invasion of illegals “into the US in which Biden and the socialist/communist Dems created and totally support. None of the “illegals“ have been vetted and many are carrying COVID-19 and they are not being tested and Biden and his administration ate supported by the socialist/communist Dems who are simply transporting the “illegals” in the middle of the night to states, particularly red states, in the US and turning those “illegals” loose in those states. Thank God for governors like Greg Abbott of Texas who have taken it upon themselves and are finishing the border wall around the Rio Grande Texas area. The completion of that wall is being paid for by the state of Texas and all Americans who have contributed financially to have the wall completed and built. Ron DeSantis the governor of Florida has got a great idea that since 70 flights which take place in the middle of the night orchestrated and controlled by Biden who literally dumped “illegals” into the state of Florida that the state of Florida will hire buses and transport the “illegals” to the state of Delaware. Great idea! Clearly Biden and the rest of the socialist/communist Dems are going to continue the corrupted policies and actions that they put into place during the 2020 presidential election and want more “illegals” here so that they will vote for them. interesting however, that the latest poll from Spanish Americans is that they are not supporting Biden and the socialist/communist Dems. That’s karma pure and simple.
