This has been a long time coming: For years now, jurisdictions around the world have been phasing out words like “mother” and “father” from government documents like birth certificates, in the name of being “progressive.”
This attitude has trickled down to some employees at Google, who complained when a company executive used the “homophobic” word “family” in a presentation. I’m not sure how that word is anti-LGBT; if you asked most married gays with children, I bet they’d call their “unit” a “family” too.
But no matter: Google — the unregulated internet behemoth — controls pretty much everything you search, read and even think. This latest story is another peek inside the company’s headquarters, and it isn’t pretty.
