The state of Florida is suing President Biden, NASA, and a handful of other officials over a mandate forcing federal employees to the Covid-19 vaccine. Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody and Gov. Ron DeSantis filed a lawsuit arguing that the mandates interfere with the state’s economy and employment policies.
Fox News reports:
Florida’s lawsuit, filed in U.S. District Court in the middle district of Florida’s Tampa division Thursday morning, argues that NASA, and others “frequently contracts with Florida, has current contractual relationships with Florida, and is and will continue to seek to impose the Biden administration’s unlawful requirements to Florida.”
“Because the government’s unlawful vaccine requirement seeks to interfere with Florida’s employment policies and threaten Florida with economic harm and the loss of federal contracts, the State seeks relief from this Court,” the lawsuit states.
In the lawsuit, Florida argues that, if unchallenged, the federal vaccine requirements would force Florida to require vaccinations of certain state officials, as the state contracts with entities that also contract with the federal government.
Florida’s lawsuit says that the Biden administration is “relying on a statute” which authorizes the president to “‘prescribe policies and directives that the president considers necessary to carry out’ the Federal Property and Administrative Services Act (FPASA) of 1949 (FPASA)” to “compel millions of Americans who work for government contractors to receive a COVID-19 vaccine.”
The lawsuit says, “nothing in that statute authorizes such a radical intrusion on the personal autonomy of American workers.”
According to Biden’s mandate, federal workers will have to be vaccinated by December 8.

Now just the opposite, actually the President has ground which were upheld by the SCOTUS during th Small Pox vaccine dispute to actually lock those up who refuse to get the shots, or at minimum fine them with significant fines and home confine them until they do get the shots. That is what the Constitution actully says, for the greater good of the Country.

I would guarantee you that DeSantis would be screaming at the top of his lungs if anyone suggested that an employer could not set conditions for those they hire to work for the company, yet now he is doing just the opposite. This is not the first time a mandate to get immunization and it will not be the last time either. During the Small Pox vaccine outrage the SCOTUS said it was legal to lock persons up who refused to get the shots.

During WWII the SCOTUS also said it was legal to round up and lock all Japanese Americans in camps. That was a wrong decision. Decades later they finally admitted it. So just because the SCOTUS made a decision decades ago doesn’t mean it should not be revisited and possibly reversed.

Unfortunately by the time this gets through the court system it will be late even if they win. I had to take my first jab (under protest) or I would not be able to keep my job come 8 Dec. I admire the folks that are in a position to walk if they have to over this but sadly most of us can’t afford the risk. Lawsuit should have been started weeks ago.
