James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas has claimed another scalp. This one belonging to Florida Democratic gubernatorial candidate Andrew Gillum.
But is it enough to change the trajectory of this race – or a case of too little, too late? (Daily Wire)
Omar Smith, a campaign staffer for Gillum, said that if elected, “None of the programs that people are hoping for would happen” but “that’s not for [voters] to know.”
“Gillum is a Progressive,” Smith continued. “He is a part of the crazy, crazy, crazies.”
Smith repeatedly referred to white people as “crackers,” saying that Florida is a F**ked up…cracker state,” and that the campaign has “to appeal to white guilt.”
“So, let’s go back to Mr. Gillum’s platform, right?” Smith continued. “Raise the corporate tax in Florida from 7 to 11 percent. That will never happen. Raise teacher’s pay to $50,000, that will never happen. Give me another position. Medicare for all, that will never happen.
Adrian Young, an employee of the Florida Democratic Party, admitted Gillum doesn’t support the Second Amendment and has long desired sweeping bans on popular firearms and accessories.
RealClearPolitics has Gillum leading Republican Rep. Ron DeSantis by an average of 2.9 points.
