Via American Action News:

Liberal news network CNN has settled a defamation lawsuit with Covington Catholic student Nick Sandmann over the mainstream media’s ginned up Lincoln Memorial controversy, alleging – despite video evidence – the 17-year-old threatened Native American elder Nathan Phillips.

Footage confirmed the Phillips instigated the confrontation while a small group of Black Hebrew Israelites verbally attacked the high school students.

Sandmann responded by smiling. Why the rush to judgment? He and his classmates were wearing MAGA hats, which are readily available throughout Washington, D.C.

The Cincinnati Enquirer further reports:

A video shows Nick and Phillips standing close to each other in a crowd. Nick stares at Phillips as he plays a drum. The situation unfolded after the March for Life on Jan. 18, which Sandmann and his classmates attended. Phillips was attending the Indigenous Peoples March.

The Sandmann lawsuit against CNN, seeking $275 million, was filed in March and stated: “CNN brought down the full force of its corporate power, influence, and wealth on Nicholas by falsely attacking, vilifying, and bullying him despite the fact that he was a minor child.”

Sandmann has also sued NBC and the Washington Post. His lawyers have said they also intend to sue Gannett, which owns The Enquirer.
Sandmann’s attorney, Todd McMurty, declined to reveal the specifics of the settlement reached with CNN.

McMurty reiterated that Sandmann’s fight to clear his name continues, and that “as many as 13 other defendants will be filed in 30 to 40 days.”
