Trump Train News:

Andrew Cuomo is drowning in scandal and there is no saving him now. Even New York Democrat Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jerry Nadler have joined the resounding calls from both sides of the political aisle for Governor Andrew Cuomo to resign. Cuomo has no been accused of sexual misconduct or harassment by six different women on top of being investigated for altering a report of how many deaths resulted from his nursing home order.

Fox News reports:

“This week, the second sexual assault allegation and the sixth harassment allegation was leveled against Governor Cuomo,” Ocasio-Cortez and Rep. Jamaal Bowman, D-N.Y., said in a statement. “The fact that this latest report was so recent is alarming, and it raises concerns about the present safety and well-being of the administration’s staff. These allegations have all been consistent and highly-detailed, and there are also credible media reports substantiating their accounts.”

The lawmakers spoke after the Albany Times Union reported that a woman said Cuomo aggressively groped her at the executive mansion after summoning her there to help him with a cellphone issue. Cuomo is alleged to have reached under her blouse, according to the paper.

Cuomo has denied the accusation, saying on Wednesday: “I have never done anything like this.”

It was the sixth woman to come forward with allegations against Cuomo, and it is the latest in a cavalcade of accusations facing the governor, whose popularity soared in mid-2020 amid news conferences in which he presented a calm face in the early days of the coronavirus pandemic — going on to release a book about “leadership lessons.”

Over 50 lawmakers have called for Cuomo to step down as governor including New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio. However, despite the Biden administration’s claims that every woman has a right to step forward and tell the truth the administration has been suspiciously silent on the mounting scandals.

However, Cuomo is adamant that he will not step down despite the wave of pressure to do so. Cuomo lashed out at the politicians like AOC and Nadler for their calls for his resignation saying they are “reckless and dangerous” for forming an opinion before knowing all of the facts.

The Hill reports:

In a hastily scheduled conference call with reporters that Cuomo’s office billed as a regular update on the coronavirus pandemic, Cuomo criticized the growing number of politicians from his own party who have called on him to resign.

“Politicians who don’t know a single fact but yet form a conclusion and an opinion are in my opinion reckless and dangerous. The people of New York should not have confidence in a political who takes an opinion without knowing the facts and substance,” Cuomo said. “People know the difference between playing politics, bowing to cancel culture and the truth. Let the review proceed, I’m not going to resign, I was not elected by the politicians, I was elected by the people.”

“I am not part of the political club and you know what, I am proud of it,” he said. “I have been in the public eye my entire life. My entire life I have been under public scrutiny, since I was 23 years old and ran my father’s campaign. New Yorkers know me. Wait for the facts.”

“Women have a right to come forward and be heard, and I encourage that fully. But I also want to be clear there is still a question of the truth. I did not do what has been alleged, period,” Cuomo said. “I never harassed anyone, I never abused anyone, I never assaulted anyone.”

Cuomo seems to be hoping he ride out the storm but as women continue to come forward with disturbingly detailed allegations against the Democrat it may only be a matter of time until Cuomo is forced to resign or is ultimately impeached.
