In a Hollywood Minute Amanda discusses the Left’s comments on DeSantis. The Scientific American, which used to only stick to Science, is now following the trend of becoming an intellectual bottom-feeder like NPR. Recently, they published an article comparing Ron DeSantis to Benito Mussolini. Their argument was that because DeSantis is making effort to give parents in Florida control of their child’s education that somehow compared to Mussolini and his fascism. This argument probably didn’t hold up too well as many younger Americans most likely don’t know who Mussolini is. Sad to see another American institution that used to be well respected falling to the left’s agenda.

It wasn’t a case of Mussolini being a socialist before he was a fascist. Fascism is the form of socialism espoused by Mussolini. just as Nazism was the form of socialism espoused by Hitler. It strikes me funny that leftists use Nazi and Fascist as insults to people on the right but they are far closer to exemplifying Nazism and Fascism because they think socialism is wonderful.
